Since my de-conversion, many Christians have said to me "I'm praying for you" or similar things. If you sincerely believe that prayer works and that your deity listens and cares about your requests then keep praying for me and see if it works.
I think the only way for an intellectual or scientific atheist to arrive at belief in a god would be for them to have an unexplainable, supernatural encounter with said god.
At the camp i was staying at their were some christians trying to "save" a few people... i kept trying to "load" them back to the real world xDDDD

They would be better served praying for something likely to actually happen. That way they can live on believing that prayer works.
ReplyDeletePraying for someone to 'see the light' after a de-conversion is extremely hopeful.
Unlikely we will be tricked twice. ;)
